Another simple dessert that is a crowd pleaser involves two things people love: deep fried foods, and hazelnut chocolate (aka nutella).
My buddy brigham from school and I decided to try making this and it turned out great, so I thought I’d share it with you. Its really really easy. you just need the following:
- wonton wrappers available at any asian grocery store – I like the square ones
- nutella
- confectioners sugar for dusting
- deep fryer
Its pretty easy, just take a wonton wrapper, put a dallop of nutella inside and seal it as best you can without any air bubbles – the steam from the nutella will expand the crisp and “puff” it up when you cook it. don’t put too much nutella inside otherwise it will not seal and you’ll end up with chocolate bits floating in the oil.
I pull them out when they’ve fully crisped up and then dust with some confectioners’ sugar – good to serve with a scoop of ice cream
Note: do not re-use this oil. it has a lot of weird chocolate flavors that you wouldn’t want in other foods you fry. but I would recommend using oil that’s already been used to fry more neutral things before like potatoes – good way to re-use!

These look ridiculous and amazing and as soon as I can get my hands on a deep fryer (or maybe just a giant thing of oil) I am making them. Thanks for sharing.
Hello! your blog is interesting. The content is really interesting, but sorry i don’t like your website theme, maybe you find better wp themes when you search on ask for “wordpress themes base”.
Interesting! I’ve been browsing the net, looking for simple recipes for Nutella, since we have a lot, and it’s a shame to waste them. Thanks!
