Fail: Party Planning

To help celebrate the end of the cherry blossom festival, there are fireworks set off by the washington monument every year. it is a nice alternative to going into the city for fourth of july – which ends up being a cluster- of a good time. So when we got an opportunity to go to a cherry blossom festival party with a rooftop view of the fireworks, why not?

Now, I’m not a party planner, but when I think about planning a party for paying guests that advertised a view of the fireworks, I would make sure of a few things.

1. have a view of the washington monument, where the fireworks are going to go off

2. pick a rooftop that has a wide a view as possible to spread out the guests and let everyone see

3. Call the cherry blossom planners to see where exactly they will be set up to launch the fireworks, ensuring the guests will get to see them.

They were willing to refund the admission cost, and still offered to keep the party going – but I think they kind of made a lot of people lose interest after the lack of fireworks.
