in case you somehow missed the ads on the subway, radio, and local newspapers, Artomatic 2012 just concluded in Crystal City. I was remiss in writing about it – things just got so busy I barely mounted my display wall! but I was really happy about the planning this year. I made paper cutouts for all the photos in frames that I wanted to mount so I could see how I wanted it to look on the wall. this really sped up the mounting process, because I just brought my photos and threw them onto the wall and I was done!
in case you’re wondering, I also put numbers on the cutouts so I knew which order to mount the photos to get the alignment just right. I used these command strip velcro picture mounts, which I thought was a great idea. it was good except I didn’t spend enough time to let the adhesive fully cure. I ended up losing a few photo frames that crashed down from the adhesive losing its stickiness.
anyway, thank you for the support for artomatic! I want to post some of the comments I’ve received which were very much appreciated! I can’t wait for the next artomatic!
