I like to read up on local blogs, especially when it comes to the subway – staying abreast of information and news helps me be more aware of what goes on while I’m at the station. It seems like when it comes to the subway system, bloggers are more accurate and forthcoming than WMATA is – making them the only (albeit sometimes skewed) source for information. A blog I’ve been reading up on is Metro-Venture, where our heroine blogs about each metro station (and some bus lines) and her impressions and comparisons. its fun to read and it provides some insight to the stations and neighborhoods.
