Zombies, Don’t Mess With Me

So as you read in the previous post, I went to the shooting range a couple weeks ago. Went back to the shooting range recently and tried out two new guns – a M-9 Beretta and a 0.22 caliber Sig. It’s been confirmed. I can kill zombies standing still at 21 feet while standing still […]

One of the absolutely necessary skills needed for surviving the zombie apocalypse is knowing how to use all kinds of weaponry. It is not only important to consider anti-zombie weaponry but also just weaponry for self-defense. This isn’t just limited to blunt weapons or bladed weapons, but also firearms big and small. The other week, […]

Erin and Kevin’s Wedding

Booked many months ago, I was slated to photography my friends Erin and Kevin’s wedding this fall. I was really excited because it was my second* wedding and I was planning on having my friend DD be my second shooter. She is super talented and clearly has an eye for good photos. She had never […]

PSA: The Worst Photo Pose Ever

I don’t have a picture of it because I don’t like taking photos of it. There is no doubt in my mind you have seen it before – group of friends get together (usually asian) to take a photo. everyone’s smiling and being fun, and then someone whips out the peace sign before the shutter […]

“I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!” great quotable movies aside, I am so glad people are writing about the “foodie phenomenon”. As you know from my earlier post, I very much dislike being called a foodie. Although the term is not really controversial, I think its meanings are different for different people. part of […]

Baking: Popovers Attempt 2

On this attempt, I was working with the remainder of the double-batch I made for attempt 1. This was so I could concentrate on the cooking time while searching for the perfect popover. Variables changed: – batter was left overnight in fridge – brought the baking time down to 25 minutes from 30. – in […]

Baking: Popovers Attempt 1

My cousin made me popovers over the summer, and they were delicious. I’ve had popovers before, but I was never really impressed – probably because they were made in a restaurant and were not served piping hot right out of the oven. if not eaten straight from the oven, they tend to get soggy and […]
